First Day of Class

Welcome, all, to the History of Communication Course! A couple of initial announcements to get us on our way:

1. I will be holding a weekly discussion session, most likely on Tuesday evenings on the second floor in the TC library. This will be an opportunity for us to discuss the readings before Wednesday's class, to clarify any questions we may have and to begin to articulate our ideas. The environment will be casual and attendance is entirely optional. There will occasionally be snacks.

2. The only book you need to buy is Manfred Steger's Globalization: a Very Short Introduction, available at Book Culture.
